Monsoon Portraits
2012 - 2014
These portraits were captured in the streets of Seoul during the monsoon season. Prepared on traditional paper using historical chemical processes, the photographs were then developed directly under the monsoon rainfall. In the uncontrolled physicality of this procedure, the climate and the city work together in leaving a corrosive, atmospheric imprint on these fleeting encounters.
