Weighing the Rain
2012 -2025
Over thirteen summers, Weighing the Rain follows Korea's monsoon season—Jangma—as both temporal framework and extended metaphor, tracing a country in constant geographic and psychological motion. The camera moves through landscapes where leisure-seekers and laborers, politicians and naval heroes, couples and solitary figures navigate the friction between history and modernity. What accumulates is a portrait of a nation straining toward a brighter image of itself while contending with the pressures of rapid transformation.
